Conecuh Sausage continues to use his original formula.
The business relocated to its current location at Interstate 65’s Exit 96 in 1986. In 2012, the plant was enlarged to accommodate the rising demand. Families traveling from the Yellowhammer State to Florida frequently pause at Conecuh Sausage’s gift shop. The Conecuh Sausage Festival has been honoring the product for almost 20 years.

In my family, SEC football is taken seriously, so if word gets out that I’m writing positively about Alabama football, I’ll most surely receive some side-eye at Thanksgiving. Conecuh sausage is now available for purchase at stadium concession stands, replacing the previous Crimson Tide pre-game show as The Conecuh Sausage Crimson Tide Tailgate Party.

How are breakfast sausages cooked in a pan?

- Add half a cup of water slowly.
- Choose the “Egg” setting; lock the pressure cooker’s lid and close the vent.
- For about one minute, cook. Release the pressure slowly, then take off the lid.
- When the internal temperature of the sausage reaches at least 160°F, it is considered completely cooked. To make sure the sausage is cooked through, use a meat thermometer.
