It doesn’t even specify what sort of pan to use, how to prepare the sausages for the oven (i.e., do you lightly brush the pan with olive oil before adding some water to it, etc.). I’m not sure whether this instruction is incorrect or what since after 15 minutes in a 375° oven, my are still very obviously RAW and not even close to brown. I have never had Italian sausages this plump being DONE in 10–12 minutes in a 3400–350 oven.

Florida For a Halloween gathering, I’ll be preparing roughly 20 Italian pork sausages to be served on a bun. They can all be prepared in the oven by being spread out on a sizable baking sheet. Atlanta Similar to Deedeedee in FL, I also had to cook the sausages on a gas stovetop twice. The “visibly raw” sausages took 50 minutes to become golden brown the first time. To determine when they were “done,” I used a meat thermometer. I followed up with an email, and I got a lovely response from the company with clarifications regarding cooking stove top, and I repeated them this morning. It took 60 minutes at a higher temperature to turn them golden brown. So, instead of hanging over the sausage and rotating them frequently, I’ll try the oven on the next batch in the hopes that I can cook other things. Any suggestions for improvements from someone who utilized the oven approach would be greatly appreciated! 🙂
