But these are my general guidelines:
- 3–4 ounces of mixed cheese and meat per person as an appetizer
- OR as a dinner, 6-8 ounces of combined meat and cheese per person.
- 2 to 3 slices of fruit per individual
- 3 to 8 oz. of bread and crackers per person (3-4 as an appetizer, 6-8 as a meal)
- Enough nibbles for everyone to have something to eat. I like to serve two pieces of dried fruit per individual. For items like almonds and olives, give each person a little handful.
Remember: A charcuterie board leftovers make a fantastic lunch the next day! I don’t believe in outrageous overspending, but when in doubt, I play it safe and choose leftovers over running out of food.
